In Mary We Trust
Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II, and Fox News carries a story on the thousands who are remembering his death at St. Peter's Square. At this time last year, every hour of news coverage was on the death of the Pope and later the determing the color of the smoke.
Here is the key quote from the current Pope Benedict XVI who said of Pope John Paul II thus:
"John Paul II died as he always lived, animated by the indomitable courage of faith, abandoning himself to God and entrusting himself to holy Mary."
What baffles me as an evangelical Christian is how some evangelical scholars can embark upon the Evangelicals and Catholics Together bandwagon when it is clear that there are irreconcilable differences in essential theological matters in salvation and divinity. I'm sorry, but the Reformation is not over.

For whatever it's worth: thinking very similarly to you, almost exactly a year ago I posted The passing of the Pope: thirty-three questions.

Thanks for the link Dan! Great to hear from you.
William, I must admit I did a horrible job of communicating what I was wanting to say. I was seriously joking as well, but I guess it did not come off that way! Sorry man.
