Travel On, Granddad, Travel On

June 30, 1916 - November 27, 2005
A caption found in one of his older Bibles: Graduated High School at age 18 Graduated College at age 22 Graduated Seminary at age 26 Years in Ministry: 63 Thank you, granddad, for turning the Brister family towards Jesus, and for being the signpost that always pointed towards glory. So travel on, granddad, travel on, for His glory is your reward.
A good name is better than precious ointment,
and the day of death than the day of birth.
It is better to go to the house of mourning
than to go to the house of feasting,
for this is the end of all mankind,
and the living will lay it to heart.
Sorrow is better than laughter,
for by sadness of face the heart is made glad,
The heart of the wise is in the house of the mourning,
but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
Ecclesiastes 7:1-4
Please pray for our family during this time. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your Grandad...I am sure he will be greatly missed. What a blessing it was to have been passed down the great heritage of faith.

May God's grace comfort you and your family. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but we grieve nonetheless. I'll be praying for you and your family in this time of sorrow and rejoicing.
