Ramadan Begins (Prayer Update)
I mentioned last week about a good friend of mine serving in a Muslim country about the struggles they are facing, especially with the recently converted Christians. The month of Ramadan has begun, and I was recently emailed with an update by Wes' wife. Here's what she said: Prayer Partners, Last week we asked you to pray for some precious saints who are experiencing some trials. We mentioned a man who has been threatened if he does not observe the month of fasting. Now his two sons are putting pressure on him, and are trying to get his boss to fire him. Yes, of course we ask you to pray for God's provision and protection for him. BUT, please also pray that this man will remain faithful in his sharing. There are others in Wes' network of national believers who are experiencing similar things. It seems the enemy is busy! Pray for the believers in our area to continue to be bold and wise. As Wes seeks to encourage these men in their walk and sharing, pray that the Spirit would grant him much wisdom. Thanks so much, (Wes' Wife) In the last post, I asked that those of you who read this would consider praying for them for the entire month of October, and not only for them, but for all Christian nationals who are in militant Muslim countries. As I get updates from the field, I will try to share them with you. Thank you for taking the time to remember them for the sake of Christ and His name's sake among the heathen!
