Southern Seminary News

It looks like this might be the season for brand, new websites. First DG, then Ligonier, now Southern. I like the new layout, except the library link is no longer on the frontpage. I happen to use the library page (for research) more than any other aspect of our school's website, but that's okay I guess. Also, I was unable to attend the Apologetics and Evangelism forum held last Wednesday, but thankfully the audio is available on line. I hope to listen to it soon. At the end of this month, Ben Mitchell, associate professor of Bioethics and Contemporary Culture @ Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, will be speaking at the Norton Lectures on September 26-28, 2006. I expect these lectures to be very good, so if you are in the area, be sure to check it out. Oh, and from the audio archives, here is a sermon John Piper preached seven years ago (September 16, 1999) called "A Zeal That Accords with Knowledge." Update: Ben Mitchell will not be speaking at the Norton Lectures. When I find out who will, I will let you know. Timmy, an update on the Norton Lectures--due to circumstances beyond his control, Ben won't be delivering the lectures. This is an unfortunate fact, because he most certainly would have done an excellent job and challenged students in exciting ways.

Look forward to catching up with you sometime in the near future. Hope all is well.
