Please Pray for Dr. Mohler

I just heard that Dr. Al Mohler had emergency eye surgery today at the Duke Medical complex. He has had eye difficulties for years and I do not know the nature of this procedure. He is still scheduled to speak at the pastors' conference on Monday. Read the entry at Thoughts and Adventures for the notice. Pray for our brother as he recuperates and seeks to fulfill his responsibilities this week at the SBC.

I have been told from several people lately of the terrible pain Dr. Mohler has been going through with his eye problems. As one can imagine, with all the incredible amounts of literature he reads through, his eyesight has degenerated over the years. From what I understand, he has had several surgeries in the past, so even in the event that this one is a complete success, he will need our prayers for the long haul. So I am asking that as you pray for him as a leader in the evangelical world in defending and proclaiming the Christian faith you also pray for his physical health as well. There simply isn't a man of the caliber of Dr. Mohler around. May the Lord be gracious to give him renewed sight and a speedy recovery in the days ahead.
